The book is available on Amazon.com for prices ranging from $7.34 - $18.00. It can also be purchased for Kindle (an eBook reader) for $8.79. It should also be available at libraries.

If you would like for me to order your copy from Amazon.com, I will happily do that. Please let me know by Wednesday, March 17. I will bring you your copy on March 21 so you may read the first chapter by March 28.

You do not need to attend all 5 weeks. I know we are all busy. Attend any or all of the meetings that you are able to - you will learn a LOT from any time(s) that you are able to attend.

You also have the option to do this over teleconference. We can discuss a Skype option too - that would need some wrinkles ironed out.

Dearest friends,

The Executive Board has made the decision that we will indeed have our normal 10:30a.m. church service and Sunday School. We are down a few parking spaces due to snow. The usher team will be outside the church directing traffic as the need arises. We will witness harmony in action and glorify God with gratitude!

The Youth Committee at our church will have cupcakes after the service for folks who would like a little fellowship. We invite you to bring a sack lunch if you like, and enjoy cupcakes with the Youth Committee in the Sunday School - on this snow-filled February occasion. It's a holiday of Love! We'll actively be loving our neighbor at church tomorrow. What fun!

Christmas caroling at our church, immediately following church on Wednesday night, December 23. Church starts at 7:30; the caroling will start at 8:30.

- The Sunday School students are invited to wear their pajamas, bring a pillow, a blanket, a sleeping bag ...

- The Sunday School students are also invited to give testimonies during the Wednesday service

- Everyone is invited, during the caroling time, to share what present they would love to give to the Christ child if they were given the opportunity today. (A physical item, a metaphysical idea...)

After the caroling, we'll move downstairs to the S.S. and have goodies there.

Our sermon on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 will be on "Career, Work and Divine Purpose." Join us at 7:30p.m. for a 1 hour service.

We'll sing hymns like, "God is working His purpose out" and "Shepherd show me how to go," by Mary Baker Eddy - the discoverer and founder of Christian Science.

Our sermon is read from both the Old Testament and New Testament in The Bible, and also read from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures - a book written by Mrs. Eddy.

We will also hear from the congregation - spontaneous sharings of our encounters with God - our witness to God, Christ, our Father's business.

The movie here is a compilation of all the best photos taken with my camera. Others took photos too which are really good pictures, but I either don't have those yet or I didn't take the time to figure out my scanner & put them in my slideshow. I hope you enjoy!! The songs on the slideshow are 2 of the 10-15 songs we sang with the children.

All the children had a great time (you can see on the slideshow that it's true) and they learned a LOT in a really great atmosphere for love & learning.

For Christian Science Children and their friends....

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Springfield, Virginia will be hosting a Vacation Bible School for Christian Science children and their friends.

When: July 9-13
9:30a.m. - 12:30p.m.

Kids from ages 4 (pre-school) through 4th grade are welcome to attend and learn more about Bible stories - Old Testament stories, Christ Jesus' story, and 5 parables that Jesus gave us to help us understand the Kingdom of Heaven. The inter-relating harmony between the Old Testament and the New Testament stories will be pointed out for kids to understand.

There will be light crafts as well as songs that relate to Jesus and the stories we are teaching. Snack will be served to children every day. The last day will be ice cream!
